Events Officer
Náplň práce, právomoci a zodpovednosti
We are looking for a proactive and organized Events Officer to join our team at the European Labour Authority (ELA).Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and oversee the organization of meetings and events at ELA premises or in Bratislava, and online.
• Ensure seamless coordination of logistics, including room bookings, catering, interpretation, technical support, cleaning, and security.
• Ensure compliance of other departments with internal event processes and workflows.
• Act as the main point of contact for internal teams requesting event support.
• Manage event-related services through ELA’s framework contract with an external event provider.
• Liaise with suppliers for catering, interpretation, hostesses, technicians, and other event-related services.
• Ensure compliance with contractual terms and budgetary guidelines.
• Monitor service delivery and handle any logistical and contractual issues or escalations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ELA’s conference spaces, including room capacities, layouts, and available technical equipment.
• Liaise with technical staff and service providers to ensure the necessary setup is in place for each event.
• Organize staff engagement activities, including social events and team-building exercises.
• Coordinate logistics, venue bookings, and supplier arrangements for internal staff events.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with financial rules.

• Previous work experience in event planning and coordination.
• Excellent command of the English language (level C1); Slovak language is beneficial for liaising with local suppliers.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Ability to work under pressure, in a multi-cultural environment, and to multi-task effectively.
• Strong team working spirit and the ability to contribute to a positive working environment.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
